Kanye West and Daft Punk
I wish that this song was done with a more talented hip-hop artist, but I am intrigued that hip-hop culture may adopt stylings of electronic music culture because this was such a hit.
If I was to make a prediction this song could do for electronic music what the Run DMC/Aerosmith “Walk this Way” video did for rap in ‘86.
Otherwise, watch the video. Daft Punk is the future and this demonstrates that their talent completely overshadows the somewhat tired Kanye.
UPDATE: Clarification. I was refering to visuals, dress, and giant blinking lights and not musical influence which has been occuring for decades. Oh, and Daft Punk being the future is literal, they are from the future. When we get to the future I am confident that Daft Punk will be sitting there waiting, and blinking.
