Hasbro made the mistake of attacking their fans. They killed the fervor surrounding Scrabulous. Now everyone has a bad taste in their mouth and all parties walk away with nothing in their pockets.
Companies with older intellectual property strategies need to rethink how they approach these types of situations. Here we have a company that did Hasbro’s R&D for them and Hasbro rewarded them by killing them.
I understand the arguments on both sides, but does this outcome actually benefit anyone?
