At first this episode felt a little abrupt. Because the chemistry between Karl Urban and Michael Ealy was so strong in this story It felt like this was ten episodes into the series instead of two. I can’t really lodge a complaint about it, we have no idea how much time has passed between the first episode and this one and if these actors are strong enough to pull this together then they deserve some credit.
Cheers to this team for creating a science fiction show that digs a little into some difficult post-humanity themes while still staying accessible. I shouldn’t get over excited about the second episode, but they have proven a lot in a little time.
